We played golf each Thursday with the crew from the Big O and one day Libby and I walked 9 holes at the KOA golf course in Okeechobee.
We sold a ham radio at the Okeechobee Hamfest at the end of November and replaced it with a new one in December.
We are going to update our website quarterly in 2004 because we are going to leave the Big O in early April and head back to the Bryce Canyon area of Utah. Libby and I are going to manage a motel/cabins and a Pizza cafe in Tropic for some folks we met last summer. We will be in Tropic from May until the end of October.
Not much else going on during December, a couple of cool mornings with light frost, but most days the lows have been in the 50s and the highs in the mid to high 70s. Just the kind of weather we come to South Florida for!
Kirk and Pam Wood spent a couple of days with us after their stint as game checkers at the Three Lakes wildlife preserve about 50 miles north of Okeechobee.
Our friend Hawk Milner is in a health care center in Gainesville, FL due to some seizures he had. His rving days are over as he can no longer drive. We believe he will winter at River Ranch and spend his summers with family in Wisconsin.
Libby's skin cancer has returned and we will get that fixed the first week of February. Its no big deal, but it needs to be removed.
I turned 55 in December, so now I don't need Libby to get me into the 55 and older parks. She was 56 in November. I guess Social Security is the next milestone for her! Good thing I married an older woman. Of course, its 6 years until that happens so we will continue to workamp in the summers as we watch the stock market recover!
